How great would it be if you could keep your dog happy and busy while it cleaned it’s own teeth?
I found one way that you can; by pushing Natural Value™ beef, chicken, or duck sticks into an extra-small Kong dog toy.
The treat sticks are about 5-inches long. You jam it in, break it off, jam it in again, break it off, and then jam the third piece in too. They fit snug so your dog has to work at it, and mine will gnaw for hours all the while cleaning her teeth and gums against the surface of the Kong.
Best of all, the Natural Value™ sticks are grain, gluten, soy, and wheat free and made right here in the U.S. with 100% natural and American farmed product with no by-products. As an added bonus they’re not greasy to the touch.
They’re affordable too; about 20¢ each. As far as I can tell a 14-ounce bag, selling for about $12, holds about 56 sticks.
The Kong is well known to dog owners. The x-small is also known as the puppy size and is available in different colors including red, pink, and blue. I bought six so I could have clean ones on hand. I put them in the top rack of my dishwasher and they come out squeaky clean.
This is not suggested to replace your normal brushing regimen, just to augment your dog’s dental hygiene program in a way your dog will enjoy.
